Kenneth Charles Winsor   1931—2007

Ken grew up in Ripon, Yorkshire and was conscripted into the Army. It was in the Army that his life was changed for time and eternity.  After leaving the Army he worked for the Civil Service, within the Forces and eventually went to work for the Soldiers and Airman's Scripture Reader's Association at their headquarters in Westminster, London, looking after the accounts . He also became a part time Scripture Reader and visited the barracks telling men of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In March 1970 Ken got married to Pat, and in 1972 left SASRA to return up north. In 1973 they moved to Stockport, where they joined Heaton Moor Evangelical Church. When HMEC planted another church in Heaton Chapel in 1987, they became a part of that, which eventually became  known as the Community Christian Church. In both, Ken served as Treasurer and on the Missionary Committees.
