

Jesus healed as many people as He could while He could . He helped as many people as He could while He could.
Then he said to his disciples, "Let us go back to Judea." "But Rabbi," they said, "a short while ago the Jews tried to stone you, and yet you are going back there?" Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light. It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light." (John 11;7 – 10) This is part of the story of the raising of Lazarus from the dead. Notice Jesus’ sense of urgency. He has urgent things to do before the nighttime of His arrest, trial and crucifixion comes. Notice that Jesus is worried about people stumbling in the moral darkness and ruining their lives.
The phrase “I am the Light of the World” references the creation epic. Now the earth
was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit
of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there
was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.
God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening,
and there was morning—the first day. (Genesis 1:2-
Jesus’ comment on His own saying contains a promise. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." If we follow Jesus we will never live in the dark again. Jesus is putting His money where His mouth is. He is putting His credibility on the line. He is challenging you to give Him a try. To test Him, to see if He let’s you down.
