Having said that there are some issues about which evangelical Bible believing Christians agree to differ. For example all Christians agree that the Bible teaches that Jesus is coming again. On reading difficult passages on this subject, equally godly believers have come to different conclusions. For instance some say Jesus will come before the Millennium and reign on earth for one thousand years. Others say He will come at the end of the Millennium. Still others say that the Bible does not teach there is a Millennium. To us this is a secondary issue. What matters is that Jesus is coming again and we need to be forgiven of our sins and born again before He comes.
Because we are in the Evangelical Alliance and want to be a servant organization to all kinds and shades of evangelical Bible believing churches we have agreed that the writers of our various articles explaining our posters are free to express their own opinions on secondary issues. However each author must adhere to the essential truths of the Gospel without fail. We hope this doesn’t confuse but is helpful. The views on personal salvation in these articles are a correct interpretation of the Bible and are the views of the executive council of the Bible Text Publicity Mission. The views expressed on secondary issues are the author’s and some members of the council may hold to an alternative valid and orthodox interpretation.
